Mario & Sonic comes in yellow box

Sega has dished out some details on the upcoming Wii and 3DS games Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The Wii version will be released in the US on November 15th, while Europe gets it three days later on November 18th (2011). Perhaps most interesting of all, is that it will ship in a funny yellow box:

A demo version of WiiWare's Dive: The Medes Islands Secret is out across North America today. Developers Cosmonaut have made this video to thank all fans and press for helping in the release of the game:

Nintendo announces Wii U

At the annual E3 Expo in Los Angeles, Nintendo has revealed its next console, the Wii U. This is how it looks in general:

The details currently known are:

The controller has a 6.2 inch touchscreen with dual analog sticks, D-pad, four standard face buttons and motion sensor, inward facing camera, rumble, microphone and speakers. The controller itself does not support HD graphics but the main console does, in full 1080p. Some games in the pipeline: Legend of Zelda, Lego City Stories, Ninja Gaiden 3, Tekken, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Batman: Arkham City, Assassin's Creed Revelations, Darksiders II and Battlefield 3. Wii U is expected to release in 2012, no prices are available yet.

For the Nintendo DSiWare service, there's a new version of a classic card game, plus a wild new photo-manipulation game that can turn an ordinary face into something eerie and outrageous. The wide selection of downloadable games for Nintendo systems truly has something for everyone.

Starting today, video game fans in North America can embark on a classic hand-held adventure that has been unavailable outside of Japan for more than 15 years. The DRAGON QUEST VI: Realms of Revelation™ game makes its U.S. debut for the Nintendo DS™ family of systems, combining classic role-playing thrills with fresh character options, unique challenges and play-it-anywhere convenience.
